Dwelly Replaces Egerton on Cornwall Cabinet

The Leader of Cornwall Council, Julian German, has announced that the Independent Councillor for Penzance East is joining the cabinet. Cllr Tim Dwelly replaces Cllr Bob Egerton as Cabinet Member for Culture, Economy and Planning. Cllr Egerton resigned last month, alleging the cover-up of a health and safety incident.

Tim Dwelly was first elected to Cornwall Council’s Penzance East seat in 2013. Initially he represented Labour and was leader of the party in Cornwall. In March 2018, Dwelly resigned from Labour citing bully and intimidation. He now sits as an Independent.
