The new leader of Bury Council has announced his top Cabinet team. Deputy Leader Andrea Simpson and Sharon Briggs will both leave the Cabinet as part of Eamonn O’Brien’s reshuffle. The new senior councillors are:
- Leader of the Council – Eamonn O’Brien (was Finance and Housing)
- Deputy Leader and Children, Young People and Skills – Tamoor Tariq (was Children and Families)
- Cultural Economy – Jayne Black (was Corporate Services and Human Resources)
- Housing – Clare Cummins (new appointment)
- Communities – David Jones (was Leader of the Council)
- Environment and Climate Change – Alan Quinn (was Environment)
- Corporate Services and Human Resources – Tahir Rafiq (new appointment)
- Transport and Infrastructure – Lucy Smith (new appointment)
