Covid-19 Recovery Focus on the Isle of Wight

The Deputy Leader of Isle of Wight Council will lead the authority’s recovery plan following the Covid-19 pandemic. Stuart Hutchinson will keep his responsibilities for the council’s budget too. However, the majority of the Finance and Resources portfolio will be held by new cabinet member Brian Tyndall. He joins from his previous role as Chairman of the Audit Committee.

The Cabinet Member for Environment and Heritage, John Hobart, has left the cabinet. Steve Hastings will take on the portfolio, combining it with his existing Procurement and Waste Management responsibilities.
