New Deputy Leader for Islington Council

Kaya Comer-Schwartz is set to become the new Deputy Leader of Islington Borough Council. Cllr Comer-Schwartz will continue in her role as Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Families. Her appointment follows Janet Burgess’ decision to stand down from the cabinet. Cllr Burgess will be replaced as Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care by Nurullah Turan. An additional change comes in the appointment of Sue Lukes in the new role of Cabinet Member for Community Safety.
