Councillors

The following councillors have announced that they are not seeking re-election at the elections in 2021:

  • Allan Andrews (Conservative): represents Earlsdon on Coventry City Council
  • David Baker (Liberal Democrat): represents Stannington on Sheffield City Council
  • Julie Dore (Labour): represents Park and Arbourthorne on Sheffield City Council (2002-present) and is currently Leader of the Council
  • Mary Douglas (Conservative): represents Salisbury St Francis and Stratford (2009-present) and previously served on Wiltshire County Council including time as a Cabinet Member.
  • Jackie Drayton (Labour): represents Burngreave on Sheffield City Council (1996-present) and is currently Cabinet Member for Children and Families.
  • John Ferrett (Independent): represents Paulsgrove on Portsmouth City Council
  • Mark Flewitt (Conservative): represents St Laurence on Southend-on-Sea Borough Council
  • Anna Fradgley (Liberal Democrat): represents Lymm South on Warrington Borough Council
  • Peter Gruen (Labour): represents Cross Gates and Whinmoor on Leeds City Council
  • Paul James (Conservative): represents Longlevens on Gloucester City Council
  • Bob Pullin (Liberal Democrat): represents Beauchief and Greenhill on Sheffield City Council.
  • Dave Rowntree (Labour): represents University on Norfolk County Council. He was previously drummer for Blur.
  • Bob Smytherman (Liberal Democrat): represents Tarring on West Sussex County Council (2009-present). He will continue to serve on Worthing Borough Council until at least 2022 and will carry on in his role as Worthing’s Town Crier.
  • Jim Steinke (Labour): represents Nether Edge and Sharrow on Sheffield City Council.
  • Toby Sturgis (Conservative): represents Brinkworth on Wiltshire Council (2009-present), formerly represented Somerford on North Wiltshire District Council (1995-2003), Brinkworth on North Wiltshire District Council (2003-2009) and Wootton Bassett South on Wiltshire County Council (1997-2009). He has served on Wiltshire’s cabinet continuously since 2001, for most of that time with responsibility for strategic planning.
  • Kate Taylor (Labour): represents Devonport on Plymouth City Council and is the council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care
  • Laura Taylor (Conservative): represents Belle Vale on Dudley Borough Council
  • Jennie Watkins (Conservative): represents Kingsway on Gloucester City Council
