Twitter Account Housing Chief Resigns

Southwark Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing has been forced to resign after an investigation into posts made by a Twitter account. The posts criticised local community groups. Councillor Leo Pollak has held the housing portfolio since 2020, having previously been in charge of regeneration for two years. He has been councillor for South Bermondsey since 2014. The South London Press reports Councillor Pollak cited a ‘serious error of judgement’ when he resigned.
