The Conservative Party continues to select candidates for the forthcoming election. Michael Sankey and Claire Forgacs have been selected to stand in Melksham East and Melksham Forest respectively. Councillor Stuart Wheeler, currently serving Burbage and the Bedwyns, is the candidate for Pewsey Vale East. This is a new division based on his existing area. Councillor Christopher Newbury has also confirmed he will stand again as the Conservative candidate for Wylye Valley. This is a revised seat based partly on Councillor Newbury’s current division of Warminster Copheap and Wylye. Tony Deane will again be the Conservative candidate for Tisbury, the division he has represented since 2009. Away from the Conservative Party, Jack Oatley has announced he will be an Independent candidate in Melksham Forest. Tony Mears will be standing for the Labour Party in Amesbury South.
